Cathedral 7-12 High School is proud to partner with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission Grammar School in creating a seamless pathway from Pre-K to college for inner-city Boston students. This partnership was formed in 2014 and is supported by the Catholic Schools Foundation, the Catholic Schools Office, and the Boston Schools Fund.
Cathedral High School was one of 150 local nonprofits selected from a total of 630 applicants for the 2023 Cummings Foundation’s major annual grants program. Cathedral will receive $75,000 over three years.
Through the Cummings Foundation grant, Cathedral High School will be able to expand and broaden college and career options for inner-city youth in greater Boston so that all students have a transformational post-secondary experience.
Cathedral scholars have the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience through paid internships and leadership development programs. Thank you to our dedicated internship partners for investing in our scholars:
We partner with Mass General to provide our athletes with daily on site athletic trainers. Through this partnership, our athletes have access to a team physician who athletes can see on a shorter notice than a typical PCP.
We also partner with Tufts to provide our students with free sports physicals, educational athletic workshops, and campus visits to Tufts Medical School to learn about different career paths.
At Cathedral, we are committed to developing relationships and partnerships with outstanding institutions of higher education – such as Emmanuel College, Stonehill College, and Boston College – to be sure our students continue to have the opportunity and access to pursue their college dreams. Dual enrollment programs, campus retreats, and unique paths to financial accessibility are hallmarks of these relationships!
We are thrilled to partner with best-in-class instructional partners to increase the academic rigor for our scholars.
Cathedral is part of the vibrant South End community and a member of the South End Business Alliance.
Cathedral proudly shares our gymnasium space and student volunteers with South End Youth Basketball, serving children ages 4-12 in our community.
