I was thrilled to participate in the Fidelity Internship program. The internship challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. I was able to network, make a lot of connections, and learn about different career paths. One of my biggest takeaways from meeting so many professionals is that life isn't a linear path. Speaking with Pamela Everhart and hearing her life experiences was so inspiring. Before my internship, I wasn't sure what I wanted to study in college. Through my internship I definitely decided that I want to major in finance. I've always loved numbers and was really excited to learn about career paths I can pursue. I am very grateful for this experience and want to thank Cathedral for this opportunity.
Coming into this internship, I knew nothing about the corporate world or what I really wanted in college. But after this amazing five-week experience, I have more of a feel for what I want for my future. This internship helped me in many ways, including improving my writing skills and my public speaking skills. I even was able to observe a live court sentencing. Most importantly, the opportunities to network with different lawyers in different fields is what really made this internship special.
