Does Cathedral High School offer financial aid and scholarships?

Yes! In fact, 100% of Cathedral scholars receive financial assistance of at least 50%, and in most cases much more! 

At Cathedral, you will be challenged to an academically rigorous curriculum and will exceed your own expectations of yourself. You will be welcomed into a richly diverse community where you and your voice matter. You will be supported by faculty and staff who are dedicated to your success. And that’s just scratching the surface. Read more about how a Cathedral education will open doors of opportunity for you. 

You will be able to explore your interests through Cathedral’s 30+ clubs and activities. Whether you are an avid basketball player looking to join a Championship-wining team, excited to learn more about business and entrepreneurship, or eager to give back to your community through volunteering – you will find so many ways to get involved and explore your interests. 

No, there is no fee to apply to Cathedral High School. 

Cathedral students wear a uniform consisting of a Cathedral-branded polo, khaki pants or skirt, and sneakers or shoes. Students may also wear approved Cathedral-branded fleece and sweaters. 

Full details about the dress code, including how to purchase Cathedral-branded items, will be shared upon request. 

Yes, breakfast and lunch are provided to all scholars at no cost to you!

Most Cathedral students take public transportation to and from Cathedral High School.
Cathedral’s prime location in the South End is accessible to many neighborhoods in Boston and beyond!

The school is located steps away from the Union Park Street stop on the SL4 and SL5 Silver Line buses. The school is also a short walk away from T stations including the Orange Line at Back Bay.

Students are eligible for monthly student MBTA passes valid for unlimited travel on Bus, Subway, Express Bus, and Commuter Rail Zones 1A, 1, and 2 on school days. All Cathedral students who live within the city of Boston and live more than two miles from Cathedral High School receive an M7 Pass for free from Boston Public Schools. All other students are provided the opportunity to purchase the student MBTA passes from the school at a reduced rate.

Cathedral’s middle school division delivers the best of both worlds to our 7th and 8th-grade scholars: a tailored program rooted in middle school education best practices with dedicated resources – while being integrated within the high school to deliver robust opportunities and experiences!

Yes! Students do not have to be Catholic to attend Cathedral High School. Students and families of all faith traditions and backgrounds are welcome in our community!
