Each autumn, the Adopt-A-Student Foundation hosts a gala that both celebrates our mission and raises over $1,000,000 annually to provide the scholarship support necessary for Cathedral to close the opportunity gap that exists for so many families.

For 100 years, Cathedral High School has changed countless lives through accessible, excellent, values-based education — right in the heart of Boston. Join us to celebrate a century of impact and a future of possibilities.

This year’s Gala will be unlike any before! To mark the occasion of our 100th year, we are transforming the evening into a lively Centennial celebration that is a cocktail party style with plentiful food stations.

2024 Vigor in Arduis Recipients

Paul and Margie Chisholm

The Vigor in Arduis Medal will be awarded to Paul and Margie Chisholm for their transformational contributions to Cathedral for over two decades. The Chisholms’ incredible philanthropic generosity, and Paul’s long-term service and leadership – including eleven years as the Cathedral High School Board Chair and trustee of the Adopt-A-Student Foundation – highlight their unprecedented commitment to the school’s mission.

The unwavering faith of Paul and Margie in Cathedral High School and their selfless dedication to advancing its educational mission are the foundation for the past and future success of our scholars.

Paul Francisco ’89

We will honor accomplished alum and Cathedral Trustee, Paul Francisco ’89, with the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award at this year’s AASF Gala. Since matriculating from Cathedral High School, Paul has created waves of positive change in the Boston community and beyond through his work as a champion for diversity and inclusion. Paul currently serves as the Chief Diversity Officer for State Street, as a Trustee of Cathedral High School, and is highly involved in many additional community organizations.

Established in 2022

As a core value of our Catholic faith, service is a hallmark of our community.
