OUR SCHOOL
Welcome from the President
Welcome to an inspiring community where you will be welcomed, challenged, and believed in for who you are.
For more than a century, Cathedral High School has been guided by the Gospel’s call to recognize the dignity of every person and to stand in solidarity with those who have too often been denied access to opportunity. Rooted in our Catholic faith, we believe that education is one of the most powerful ways to transform lives. Cathedral has remained steadfast in its mission to provide a rigorous, faith-filled education that disrupts inequality and ensures that every young person has the opportunity to discover and develop the gifts and talents God has placed within them.
What has always distinguished Cathedral is not simply our mission, but the people who bring it to life every day. I have the privilege of witnessing faculty who continually refine their craft because they believe every scholar is capable of extraordinary growth. I see staff members who know that meaningful relationships are the foundation of learning. I watch families place their trust in our community, alumni who return to mentor the next generation, and benefactors whose generosity opens doors that might otherwise remain closed. Most importantly, I have the joy of seeing our scholars grow into confident young adults that embody our values of character, commitment, and compassion.
Our scholars are what make Cathedral extraordinary. They come from different neighborhoods, cultures, faith traditions, and lived experiences, each bringing unique perspectives that enrich our community. We believe that every scholar has the ability to succeed when surrounded by people who believe in their potential, challenge them to grow, and walk alongside them.
For more than 100 years, Cathedral has transformed lives through faith, academic excellence, and unwavering belief in the potential of every scholar. I am honored to continue that tradition alongside a community that refuses to accept that opportunity should be determined by circumstance and instead works every day to ensure that every young person has the chance to flourish.
I hope you will join us as we continue building upon a century of faith, excellence, and opportunity, while preparing the next generation of compassionate leaders who will shape our world.
Peace and love,
Karl Danso
